I know this question have been asked more than once on this forum. I have been flowing the answer from this question:
MySQL: ALTER IGNORE TABLE gives "Integrity constraint violation"
I have the Engine changed to MyISAM
However, when I run:
ALTER IGNORE TABLE table ADD UNIQUE INDEX dupidx (field);
I get this as a response:
Error Code: 1064. You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to
use near 'IGNORE TABLE table ADD UNIQUE INDEX dupidx (field)' at line 1
And yes, I did change the table and field names in the query to match my table.
The only real deference is that I am adding the index to a DATETIME field. Could that be what is giving me grief?
