Using audio fingerprinting/detecting to return all occurences of a piece of audio within other audio files?

I'm new to the field of audio processing and fingerprinting but have the need to analyze audio files, one at a time, to find if there are any occurences of a particular sound pattern in them. If there is I need to have the timecode(s), and preferably duration, returned for all occurences of that sound within the analyzed file. I'm free to use pretty much any language and library that runs on a linux machine and I would very much appreciate suggestions.

I have found https://github.com/worldveil/dejavu but it doesn't appear to be exactly what I'm looking for. (I could be wrong so please prove me so if I am.)
