I'm not going to be the last to ask this question by the looks of things. Firstly, what's the point in spending years developing a framework, specifically aimed at developing designer websites when no one can figure out how to change the most fundamental part of design; the colour!!!
So, I've been using this bootstrap 4 tutorial: https://coursetro.com/posts/code/130/Learn-Bootstrap-4-Final-in-2018-with-our-Free-Crash-Course
and it looks pretty straight-forward, until put into practice.
I've searched just about every website trying to discover what is going on with it. Some sites tell me to change the custom.scss file on the node_modules, but the file has been discontinued.
By all accounts, all I should be doing is seeing up a directory SCSS with a style.scss file. Now this may or mayn't be where I'm going wrong. The SCSS dir is located in my Wordpress Theme [theme-name] folder. (let me know if this is correct)
The style.scss file has:
// Variable Overrides
// Bootstrap Sass Imports
The bootstrap dir. is located in node_modules, which is also in the same directory "Wordpress Theme [theme-name]" and this contains the _variable.scss file, which contains the colors.
As you can tell by the hexadecimal, the color should be anything but blue (actually orange), but when I refresh the page, it stays blue.
I've cleared the caches, uninstalled the browser and reinstalled it and tried loading it with different mobile devices (thats another story, but I got it fixed).
So, if anyone, anywhere, has a working Wordpress site with bootstrap 4 running and a color, other that this horrid blue, please let me know how to change it.
