Running HumanEva Dataset gives a Segmentation Fault in Linux

I've downloaded both the Human Eva Datasets, followed the instructions on how to unpack them, and then ran the command while pointing to the folder where the unpacked datasets are.

Instructions are here.

However, I encountered this error:

(cv_env_python3) ubuntu@ubuntu-VirtualBox:~/opencv-3.2.0/build/bin$ ./example_datasets_hpe_humaneva -p=/home/ubuntu/Downloads/data_sets/
HumanEva 1
train size: 269
last train video:
person: 4
action: Walking
type1: 2
type2: C3
filename: /home/ubuntu/Downloads/data_sets/HumanEva_1/S4/Image_Data/Walking_2_(C3).avi
num images: 0
ofs: 50.000000 672.000000 1.998500
HumanEva 2
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I had tried starting the VM again before running it, but to no avail. I'm not sure if this is a VM issue.

Does anyone know how to properly run the HumanEva DataSet?
