I have 3 different ntp.conf files (ntp.conf1,ntp.conf2,ntp.conf3) on my Linux machine.

whenever i want to use one of them i need to change it's name to ntp.conf and hen copy it to /etc/ntp.conf an finally restart ntp service.

any suggestion for make this procedures automatically done in a C program? a sample script or code for similar actions?
