Cloud functions OAUTH2, returning token to iOS/Android

I'm trying to create a login feature based on that the user can do a regular OAUTH2 login, but the result is handled by Firebase to create a secure custom token that is being returned to a device (iOS/Android) preferably through HTTP-request.

Firebase has Made an example on Github when this is done based on that the user is coming from a HTML-page and that the token is returned through there.

But I would like to do some kind of HTTP-request, that returns the token to the device asking for login, while also minting a custom token with Firebase Admin - All within Firebase Functions

Has anyone done this before, and have some input?
